1.4 billion people still lack access to credit.
Traditional finance has failed them. Requirements for credit history, collateral, and costly underwriting create insurmountable barriers for those who need capital most. A vendor in Lagos earns cash daily but can't prove a steady income. A Colombian nurse with years of perfect informal repayments remains invisible to banks. Even those with savings find themselves excluded. Many turn to informal or predatory lenders. It doesn't have to be this way.
We developed an undercollateralized lending system using stablecoins.
It's called Credit.
It uses progressive trust-building. Loans start small and can grow to $1,000. As borrowers build trust, default rates have approached zero. Since December 2024, Credit has issued hundreds of thousands of loans to over half a million unique borrowers. They've used them for things like groceries, medicine, and transportation. In Argentina, they call it "la salvación del mes"—the month's salvation.
Today, Credit is accessible to borrowers through our World MiniApp. Borrowers can request and receive funds in seconds. Liquidity providers can supply capital through credit.cash. The funds are allocated programmatically, and the interest rates are set algorithmically in real-time.
